MGI and Soget unite

French companies Soget and MGI are creating the new entity GIE France PCS. This joint initiative aims to respond to the government's recommendations to forge a national organisation in the service of logistics fluidity and cybersecurity and anticipate the implementation of the European maritime single window.

Eric Hémar and Patrick Daher’s report on the competitiveness of the supply chain, submitted to the government in 2019, highlighted the need to optimise the fluidity of formalities and controls via a single window. It also encourages the regrouping of professionals within the France Logistique association, created in early 2020.

MGI and Soget facilitate 95% of containerised freight in France and its overseas territories, within their collaborative digital platforms. Every day, more than 30,000 users connect to their digital platforms, processing nearly 300 million messages per year.

Both companies have been deploying and operating their PCS / CCS (port community systems / cargo community systems) digital platforms in French ports for more than 35 years. (sh)
