                        More hinterland connections in China
With a new railway link from Chongqing in the southwest of China to the port of Qinzhou in the south of the country, cargo-partner covers 16 provinces in western and central China and thus reaches all the important production sites in the Chinese hinterland.
The new rail service is up to twice as fast as shipping the cargo per inland barge and costs only a third of the price of road haulage. The route is 1,200 km long. Daily departures guarantee delivery times of only two days.
In western and central China there are many manufacturing centres that serve a variety of economic sectors such as the automotive, electronics, pharmaceutical or food industry. (ben)
