More investors go digital

Loadsmart, a digital freight startup, has just informed about the results of its series C fundraising, its latest funding round.

The USD 90 million round was led by the Black Rock fund, co-led by Chromo Capital, with participation from Perry Capital and Bramalea Partners, while Goldman Sachs served as Loadsmart’s financial adviser and Paul Hastings as its legal adviser.

The combined force was able to win investors like the American TFI International and the European Maersk. Loadsmart, an online portal designed for companies in the shipping business to move freight through ports and across rail lines and highways on land, claims to have "grown revenues by 250% since January 2020 while improving service quality, increasing gross margins and keeping operational expenses at 2019 levels.” (sh)
