More Mediterranean flair in Stockholm

Swedish food import company Fontana Food is relocating parts of its operations from Tyresö to the Euroglobe premises at Stockholm Norvik Port. This will shorten the supply chain, and goods can be distributed right from the port area. Sweden’s newest port, Stockholm Norvik, will increase its food print in logistics services for container and ro ro transport, as well as transhipment.

Fontana Food is a Swedish company that has its roots in Cyprus and the Greek food culture. Every week, containers arrive at Stockholm Norvik from Cyprus bringing olive oil, pepperoni, fruit juices and halloumi cheese, as well as many other products from the Mediterranean.

The family-owned logistics company Euroglobe will lease 6,500 sqm of land at Stockholm Norvik Port and handle logistics and warehouse storage of the products that arrive in Stockholm Norvik.  (sh)
