More Montreal, most A350

From tomorrow, 16 January 2021, Qatar Airways is incrementally increasing its flight frequency to Montréal and will operate daily frequencies by 25 February, up from the previously scheduled four weekly flights.

The service is operated by the carrier's A350-900. Taking over its 19th A350-1000 on the final day of 2020, the national carrier of Qatar has become the largest operator of A350 aircraft (53 in total), 34 of them being A350-900.

Qatar Airways is deploying all A350 aircraft of its fleet to more than 45 destinations, including Johannesburg, London, Melbourne, New York, Paris, São Paolo and Singapore.

Due to Covid-19's impact on travel demand, the airline has grounded its fleet of A380 "as it is not environmentally justifiable to operate such a large, four-engine aircraft in the current market". (ah)
