More Swiss logistics for shipper Busch

Busch, a global manufacturer of vacuum pumps and other vacuum solutions, is strengthening its logistics operations in Switzerland. The company has announced a 20% increase in its logistics cooperation with its long-standing partner Gefco.

Busch serves customers from industrial sectors ranging from energy supply to medical healthcare and Gefco manages its supply chain operations for finished goods and parts and provides logistics and storage services across Switzerland.

The provider stores an average of 7,500 stored pallets or 2 million parts per month, processes 3,500 order lines and administers well above 1,800 product codes. Gefco has considerably expanded its partnership with Busch over the last two years.

Demand is particularly strong for vacuum pumps used in production plants in the healthcare sector, which are delivered to Wuhan (China) for example, and for renewable energies (for batteries, hydrogen engines, solar cells and wind power facilities). The plant in Chevenez (Switzerland), one of Busch's eight largest factories worldwide, operates seven days a week.

Headquartered in Maulburg, Germany, the Busch group also runs production plants in UK, Czechia, Korea, India and USA. (sh)
