More train connections for Lübeck

Kombiverkehr in Germany continues to expand its portfolio of domestic services by adding direct links to the ports on the Baltic Sea. As from 17 February 2020, the train between the Ruhr area and the port of Lübeck will run up to three round trips per traffic day.

By increasing the frequency to 15 train departures per week and direction, the company will create faster transit times for direct deliveries and optimise transfer times in international gateway traffic via Duisburg. From the Skandinavienkai in the port of Lübeck there are also ferry links to Norway, Finland and the Baltics States.

The new services between Lübeck and Duisburg will complement the existing direct train connections between Lübeck and Ludwigshafen and Hamburg-Billwerder, Kombiverkehr says. (ben)
