More trains between the Netherlands and Italy

The Swiss intermodal operator Hupac is increasing frequencies on its Rotterdam–Pordenone route. From 12 December the shuttle train between the Netherlands and northern Italy will operate five round trips a week, up from three.

According to Hupac, the intermodal connection saves 1.9 t of CO2 per truck.

The services run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays in both directions. The train departs from the CLdN terminal in Rotterdam at 12 noon on weekdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays, and from the Hupac terminal in Pordenone at 6 p.m. on weekdays and 11.30 a.m. on Sundays.

The train can transport semi-trailers with the C70, C400 and P400 profiles. (ben)
