Mountain Air Cargo acquires Royal Aircraft Services
Mountain Air Cargo (Mac), a wholly owned subsidiary of Air T Inc, has acquired Royal Aircraft Services (Ras), an experienced MRO provider based in Hagerstown MD (USA).
The deal strengthens Mac’s maintenance capabilities and expands its footprint in the US MRO market. Ras will retain its name and continue its own operations, including its FAA-certified aircraft painting facility.
Mac CEO Mike Bandalan said the move supports efficiency and service quality, while owners Pamela and Austin Heffernan see the transition as an opportunity to build on Royal’s legacy. The acquisition aligns with Air T’s strategy to grow high-value aviation services in its portfolio. (ah)
