MSC Air Cargo joins German airline association

The association Barig, Board of Airline Representatives in Germany, has welcomed MSC Air Cargo as its newest member, further expanding the association’s airfreight community.

MSC Air Cargo, part of the global MSC Group, operates a fleet of Boeing B777-200 freighters on routes between Europe, Asia and the Americas.

"Germany is a key business location for us. Being a part of Barig enables us to deepen our engagement within the country’s cargo sector," said Jannie Davel, CEO of MSC Air Cargo.

Barig now represents over 30 international cargo airlines. "We’re pleased MSC Air Cargo will noe also bring its experience to our community," said Barig executive director Michael Hoppe. "Together, we aim to tackle key issues such as high costs and complex processes in the German market."

Barig's restructured air cargo committee has been tasked with coordinating activities and promoting improvements in the industry. (ah)
