Nevomo appoints former MEP as public affairs director
The Warsaw-based pan-European deep-tech company Nevomo has named a former member of the European parliament, Dorien Rookmaker, as the director of its public affairs.
Rookmaker, who served on the EU parliament’s transport and tourism committee from 2020 to 2024, brings experience in mobility policy and a strong commitment to sustainable rail operations with her.
She joins Nevomo to support the rollout of 'MagRail', a next-gen levitation-based system to upgrade conventional rail, also in freight transportation. Her appointment builds on her previous involvement with the company during its 2023 'MagRail' demonstration.
In her new role, she'll engage EU stakeholders to promote high-speed, low-emission transport. CEO Ben Paczek called her policy expertise vital to Nevomo’s vision for Europe’s rail future. (ah)
