
New head of marketing for NPorts
Niedersachsen Ports has appointed Krischan Förster to lead its marketing and sales division. In this role he’ll be in charge of the group’s marketing strategy, customer relations and promotion of port infrastructure.
Förster, formerly the editor-in-chief of ‘Hansa – International Maritime Journal’, brings in-depth maritime knowledge and a broad industry network with him.
Managing director Holger Banik said Förster will support customer-focused development and help enhance the strategic role of marketing and sales activities. His remit includes creating a company-wide strategy, targeted marketing of port facilities and real estate, and structured customer engagement.
Niedersachsen Ports, headquartered in Oldenburg, operates five seaports and three regional ports along the German North Sea coast, amongst other things, located in Brake, Cuxhaven, Emden, Wilhelmshaven and Norden.
