New Hellmann logistics centre in Melbourne

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has opened a new contract logistics centre in Truganina, thus doubling its warehouse capacity in the Melbourne metropolitan area at one fell swoop. The 19,000 m² facility offers 18,000 pallet slots and serves customers in the automotive, healthcare, food and consumer goods sectors, amongst others.

The facility is equipped with a 200 kW solar system, rainwater tanks and EV charging stations. It aims to achieve 5-star ‘Green Star As-Built’ certification.

Hellmann has been active in Australia since 1987, operating seven locations in Australia and New Zealand and steadily reinforcing its strategic focus on the Asia-Pacific region.

Mark Fitzpatrick, Hellmann regional COO for the Apac area, highlighted the site’s modern infrastructure and flexibility, while Global COO Volker Sauerborn emphasised its role in delivering innovative and sustainable logistics worldwide.

The new facility strengthens Hellmann’s position as a full-service provider of scalable, eco-friendly supply chain solutions tailored to increasing customer demands.
