New rail service along Eurasian route

DHL has introduced two new block train connections from Germany to China. A new link departs from the KTL terminal on the BASF site in Ludwigshafen (Germany) and travels via Poland, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan to the destination terminal in Xi'an (China). In addition, an express train connection has been launched between Neuss (Germany) and Xi'an via Kaliningrad (Russia), reducing the transit time to 12 days.

The new Germany-to-China rail services were created in cooperation with long-term partner RTSB, Friedrichsdorf, Germany. Goods from all over Europe are loaded on to the block trains and transported over 9,400 km to the central hub for train services in Xi'an for further distribution. (ben)
