New regional HQ down under

Agility's Australasia regional headquarters has moved to a new 32,000 sqm facility in Melbourne airport's business park. Qanstruct, a Melbourne-based design firm, led the construction of the facility, which took 13 months. The property covers 30,000 sqm devoted to warehousing and 2,000 sqm for office space.

Besides being the basis for logistics, multimodal transport and distribution services for industrial, service and retail companies in the region, the building will also feature space for Agility's fairs and events activities. The building sports 4,108 solar panels that can generate 1.8 MW of electricity. Agility landscaped the property with 1,800 plants and acquired ten pieces of art painted by indigenous women. (sh)
