New service from Ireland to Normandy

Haropa Port and Brittany Ferries have jointly inaugurated a new Franco – Irish freight line in Le Havre, with Brittany Ferries launching a service connecting French Normandy to Rosslare in Ireland.

Driven by the dynamic reorientation of trade between Ireland and the continent, the line has been providing a weekly return trip since 12 November. On board the “Cotentin”, 120 units of accompanied freight are transported on each trip. The link is also the result of close cooperation with a number of Irish companies and institutions since Brexit.

The new service offers a complementary solution to connect Ireland to the EU’s common market via France, particularly for fresh produce and medical products. (sh)
