New train running between Austria and Hungary
With the TransFER Wels-Vienna-Budapest, the Austria-based ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) is launching a new rail connection, thereby creating further network effects for intermodal solutions on key corridors and between three of the most important intermodal nodes in Europe.
This will link not only Austria with Hungary, but also the entire northern European region with south-eastern Europe and the Asian part of Turkey. For the new service, the ÖBB Rail Cargo Group will cooperate with Kombiverkehr.
The direct train between the Wels CCT-Wien Süd CCT-Budapest BILK terminals will run three times a week. (ben)
