NSW ports in Australia greet new CEO

Stephen Cleary is to be CEO of the ports in New South Wales (NSW) Australia, with effect from 1 December 2013. He was congratulated by the Australian Logistics Council (ALC), the peak national body for the freight logistics industry. Cleary, who previously worked for Startrack Express and Qantas Freight, will be in charge of two major facilities: Port Botany, Australia’s second largest container port, and Port Kembla, Australia's largest vehicle import hub and largest export grain terminal, as well as the intermodal logistics centre in Enfield and the Cooks River intermodal terminal. Tim Blood, current managing director, will continue his role as a NSW ports board director. This is the second change in leadership this year, following Paul McClintock's appointment as new chairman of the board of directors of the NSW ports in August.
