Ongoing expansion down under

Wisetech Global, the Australian developer of the logistics software ‘Cargowise’, has further extended its portfolio by acquiring Shipamax, a provider of data entry automation software for the logistics industry.

The Shipamax platform was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in the United Kingdom. It focuses on document data extraction and on automating operational workflows. Shipamax uses AI and machine learning to convert unstructured data (including PDFs, scans, images) directly from various sources, including e-mails, into machine-readable formats.

Wisetech founder and CEO Richard White said that the move for Shipamax’s deep automation, machine learning, and data visualisation “in combination with our recent acquisition of eBL and electronic trade finance provider Bolero, will bring Cargowise customers increasing levels of fully digital documents.” (sh)
