Optimising everyday forwarding operations
Freight forwarder Wienkämper has formed a partnership with log tech company RIO, the digital brand of commercial vehicle manufacturer Traton.
With the Cartright transport management system (TMS), RIO offers software solutions for transport management, driver communication and telematics - all from a single source. The solutions are modular, cloud-based, open and thus enable customised digitalisation.
In the current roll-out phase, RIO will be replacing Wienkämper’s previous TMS provider. By equipping drivers with smartphones and tablets by means of RIO’s mobile device management, communication between drivers and the dispatching department is significantly improved, RIO said. (ben)
