Orbitmi launches new vessel reporting analysis tool
Orbitmi has unveiled its vessel reporting analysis, a structured assessment aimed at helping shipowners and operators evaluate the alignment of their vessel reports with industry standards. This tool addresses data gaps impacting compliance, efficiency and the accuracy of performance and emissions reporting. As reliance on solid data grows, the analysis reviews noon reports, voyage data and key operational fields, comparing current practices against the OVD standard.
It provides insights into missing data and offers practical recommendations to enhance data quality. Chief product officer Alexandre Lapointe emphasised the significance of high-quality data in the connected maritime era, stating that addressing small inconsistencies can improve decision-making. The analysis is now available via Orbitmi's website and representatives will be on hand at the Smart Maritime Network Singapore event to discuss the tool further.
