Padrock acquires site for a future London logistics hub
Padrock, a specialist for logistics and industrial property in the UK based in London, has acquired an 8 acre site in Leyton, East London, where it plans to develop a 210,000 sqft multi-let logistics hub. The ‘Leyton Logistics Hub’, as it will be called, will be made up of eleven units ranging from 6,000 to 36,000 sqft, and will be built according to EPC A+ and Breeam ‘outstanding’ standards.
With a gross development value of around GBP 130 million, the project is one of the largest urban logistics acquisitions in London this year. Located off Church Road near the A406 and A12, the site offers strong links to central London. Construction is due to start shortly and completion is expected by mid-2026.
The scheme will feature sustainable design elements, including green roofs and walls. The acquisition expands Padrock’s portfolio, which includes greater London sites in Dagenham, Hertford and Erith. According to partner Mark Symonds the move underscores the company’s ambition to become a key player in London’s market. (gy)
