Paneco to go on stream in July 2021

A new transport network is set to launch at the beginning of July. In 2019, the European Freight Association of International Freight Forwarders (Elvis), Kommodus' logistics networks (Poland), Cargo24 (Switzerland) and ABC Business Network (Italy) joined forces to create Paneco, a pan-European transport network, which was officially founded recently.

In order to increase the degree of coverage of general cargo services and part loads in Europe from Scandinavia to Greece, another 15 local partners have been brought on board.

A public limited company, Pameco is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland. Jochen Eschborn, CEO of Elvis, sees Paneco in a good position to compete with large companies in the industry: "With Paneco, small and medium-sized forwarders and carriers can now also offer pan-European groupage and part-load services at competitive conditions."

Pooled higher transport volumes, daily scheduled services as well as hubs in all Europe's economic centres and a specially developed web-based IT platform provide the basis for Paneco's portfolio.

As a superordinate unit, the IT platform accesses the local systems and ensures smooth data flows between the connected companies and the cooperation. Modern translation software is part of the concept.

The new offer also includes tariff models and concepts for scheduled transport services as well as volume and quality monitoring. (sh)
