Partnership to save hundreds of tonnes of CO2
Swedish tech transport company Einride and Electrolux have agreed to form a strategic partnership to electrify transports. The new cooperation will start in Sweden in spring 2021 by incorporating digitally connected electric trucks into electric transport services.
Future possible expansions of the partnership involve autonomous electric transport in the form of the Einride Pod, the first autonomous, electric heavy transport to operate without a driver on a public road.
The operation is coordinated and scaled up with Einride’s freight mobility platform. Within the first three years, the project is expected to save hundreds of tonnes of CO2, compared to diesel freight. (ben)
