Passing on the baton at port of Aarhus
Jakob Flyvbjerg Christensen has been appointed director of the port of Aarhus (Denmark). He previously worked as global client director at APM Terminals at its headquarters in Den Haag (Netherlands), and was also a former director of the container terminal at Aarhus (APM Terminals Cargo Service A/S) from 2007 till 2010. He will be in charge of the port of Aarhus from January 2014 onwards. He succeeds Bjarne Mathiesen who announced in May 2013 that he will resign from the position of director that he had held since 2000 by the end of this year. The port of Aarhus handles more than 50% of all containers in Denmark.
