PCF: Keeping things fresh for 30 years
The Perishable Center Frankfurt (PCF) marked its 30th anniversary this week, celebrating three decades as Europe’s leading hub for temperature-controlled air cargo.
Founded in 1995 by the Nagel Group (50%), the Dettmer Group (40%) and Fraport (10%), PCF now operates 9,000 sqm of refrigerated space ranging from –25 to +25°C, handling perishables such as fruit and flowers and seafood and pharmaceuticals.
Managing director Rainer Wittenfeld said: "We’re proud of our people and partners who’ve made PCF what it is today – Europe’s gateway for temperature-controlled airfreight." The milestone was celebrated with employees, customers and partners at "The Aircraft" in Dreieich. The event coincided with the Nagel Group’s 90th anniversary, underlining a shared legacy of quality and innovation in food and fresh logistics. (ah)
