Pilots wanted

French NGO Aviation Sans Frontières (Aviation without Borders), which employs its expertise, planes and air network to send emergency aid from France to its overseas bases all over the world, is seeking voluntary pilots for its missions in Africa.

Its two Cessna Grand Caravans, which can each carry up to 1 t of aid supplies or twelve passengers, often operate under difficult conditions. Hence, every mission is carried out with two pilots.

The NGO was honoured in the limelight during France's national day last year, because it had mobilised the aviation industry from the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis to provide logistics support for hospitals.

Once recruited, the new pilots will work from Bangui (Central African Republic) and Bunia (DRC). (amh)
