Plug-in-hybrid truck (also) runs for research
Scania recently delivered a plug-in-hybrid truck (PHEV) to Havi. The truck will be deployed in regular service in Stockholm and its suburbs, but also be part of a series of trials for research projects.
In one of these projects, Havi has been performing night time deliveries in Stockholm since 2019. The results show that these night time deliveries reduce emissions of carbon dioxide, nitrogen and particulate matter.
Now, the truck will also be used in a trial for intelligent urban traffic zones, in which the city of Stockholm will set up an internet-of-things platform with sensors that tell the drivers to drive more slowly. (ben)
