Port of Brisbane’s Zero Emissions Ride Day

The Port of Brisbane (Australia) and the Queensland Transport & Logistics Council have launched the first Zero Emissions (ZE) Ride Day to show the transitioning to zero emissions trucks for port and logistics operators.

The “Future Freight Energy Hub” initiative allowed participants to ride in and experience six different ZE trucks and vans, provided by Blk Auto, Daimler, Volvo, Janus Electric, SEA Electric and All Purpose Transport.

For Peter Keyte, Port of Brisbane COO: “Port of Brisbane is very pleased to be the first of QTLC’s identified ‘freight hubs’ to bring together their stakeholders for a ZE Vehicle Ride Day,” and those concerned will be able to benefit from a “help [to] smooth the transition.” (lh)
