Ports of Stockholm expands services
Ports of Stockholm has expanded Stockholm Norvik Port with a goods terminal and bonded warehouse. According to the port the facility combines an authority control point with warehouse management and is designed to handle a wide range of cargo. It includes both heated and insulated sections for temperature-sensitive goods and uninsulated space for regular storage, offering services for different logistics needs.
A major part of the site functions as a bonded warehouse adapted for the Swedish food agency, board of agriculture and customs, providing ample space for inspections and temporary storage. According to Ports of Stockholm, Stockholm Norvik is one of only five Swedish ports with border control for food imports, enabling checks to be carried out directly on site. (js)
