Quickmail continues to grow
Quickmail, Switzerland's only private mail service provider, has grown again: In 2019 Quickmail delivered 106.8 million addressed letters in Switzerland, 8 million more than in the previous year, which corresponds to an increase of 8.1%. Quickmail's share in the addressed mail market (including imports and addressed newspapers) rose by 3.5 to 4%.
"We are pleased that we could continue to grow in our 10th year," Quickmail's managing director Bernard Germanier commented. The company achieved particularly strong increases with advertising mail from the retail trade (+15%) and health insurance companies (+92%). Quickmail reaches 87% of households across the country every week.
After the Dutch mail service provider Sandd was taken over by the Dutch post in 2019 and the German mail deliverer Bauer Postal Network stopped trading in 2019, Quickmail is now the only private mail service provider in Europe that reaches more than 80% of its country's households. (mw)
