Railpool expands locomotive fleet
Railpool has expanded its locomotive fleet by acquiring twelve Siemens Vectron "A39 DACHINLB" units from DB Cargo. The locomotives will enter service from February and enhance Railpool’s portfolio of cross-border-capable traction for freight operators across Europe.
In addition to the Vectron units, Railpool has also added seven "TRAXX AC2" locomotives, likewise acquired from DB Cargo. The new additions aims to support the company’s strategy of increasing fleet flexibility and responding to customer demand according to Torsten Lehnert, CEO von Railpool. "The combination of proven Vectron performance and adaptable TRAXX AC2 units enables us to respond quickly to market demands and ensure efficient fleet deployment," he added.
