Railpool Polska appoints Rafał Stańczyk
Railpool has announced the appointment of Rafał Stańczyk as the new managing director and a member of the management board for Railpool Polska. This move is part of the company's strategy to enhance its operations in the Polish railway market, particularly amid challenging conditions for freight transport. Stańczyk brings extensive managerial experience in railway transport, fleet management and organisational development, which will be critical in overseeing operational activities and expanding the service portfolio while strengthening relationships with partners and customers.
Railpool currently operates one of the largest and most modern fleets in the region, consisting of 134 locomotives certified for use in Poland, with plans to increase this to nearly 200 by summer 2027. Stańczyk's immediate priorities include further developing Railpool's activities in Poland, enhancing cooperation with rail operators, and introducing innovative solutions to help the railway sector compete effectively with road transport. The appointment reflects Railpool's commitment to investing in modern rolling stock, digitalisation and enhancing service standards across the European railway market.
