Railway to transport 5.2 million t of coal
PKP Cargo has concluded another important coal transport agreement with Enea Wytwarzanie. The Polish railfreight operator submitted the most favourable offer in the tender procedure for transport of the said fuel from Lubelski Węgiel 'Bogdanka' to the Kozienice power plant (Poland).
As part of the contract, PKP Cargo, the largest Polish commodity carrier, will transport 5.3 million t of coal over a 14 month period.
The company signed a strategic cooperation contract with the Croatian rail carrier HZ Cargo in 2015, and acquired an 80% stake in Czechia’s rail carrier Advanced World Transport in May. (ben)
