Reconnecting Morocco and the UAE

As today's ITJ 39-40/2020 is featuring the Maghreb countries, the two big UAE carriers are re-installing belly capacity to and from Morocco.

Starting today, 18 September 2020, Emirates resumes passenger services to Casablanca. The resumption of thrice weekly flights to the economic powerhouse of the North African kingdom takes Emirates' African network to 14 destinations.

From tomorrow, 19 September, Etihad Airways, the UAE National carrier based in Abu Dhabi, will operate returning flights between Casablanca and its hub three times a week as well.

This service will be followed by direct flights between the two capitals, Abu Dhabi and Rabat, on 28 October. These additions bring the total number destinations Etihad is operating to 58 destinations worldwide. (ah)
