Refinancing debt and investing in Italian airports


2i Aeroporti, a company controlled by the Third F2i Fund (51%) and jointly owned by Ardian Infrastructure and Credit Agricole Assurance (49%), has completed a EUR 540 million five year bank financing transaction, with a tranche of EUR 220 million to refinance existing debt and a tranche of EUR 300 million to support new initiatives for the development and consolidation of the aviation sector in Italy.

 

The portfolio of companies controlled and held by 2i Aeroporti includes the operators of the airports of Milan (LIN and MXP), Naples/Salerno (photo), Turin, Trieste and Bologna, as well as a minority stake in Skyports, which provides vertiport and drone services.

 

At the same time, Gesac, the company that manages Naples Airport, secured a sustainability-linked credit facility of up to EUR 120 million. (ah)
