Renault Trucks launches electric long-haul models
Renault Trucks has unveiled new electric long-distance trucks, the E-Tech T 585 and T 780, capable of over 600 km on a single charge. The T 780, aimed at delivering maximum range, offers over 600 km with a 780 kWh battery, while the T 585 prioritises high payload capacity with a 585 kWh battery and over 460 km in range. Both models feature innovative electric axles that house the motors and gearboxes at the rear, freeing up space for additional batteries and ensuring performance for up to eight years or one million km. Charging options include ultra-fast megawatt charging systems (up to 720 kW), providing approximately 350 km in range in just 45 minutes, or standard CCS fast chargers.
Designed for long-haul journeys, these trucks are equipped with integrated air suspension for superior comfort and manoeuvrability, comparable to that of a 4x2 tractor unit. Renault Trucks offers a wide range of services such as fleet management, remote diagnostics, driver apps and expert consultancy to optimise vehicle availability and support transport companies in creating tailored decarbonisation strategies. These models are manufactured in Bourg-en-Bresse and are available to order immediately.
