Resilience at Trois-Rivières


The Port of Trois-Rivières has reported its annual results. In 2020, the Canadian port handled a volume of goods of 3.3 million t, down from 2019, but in line with the forecasts.

 

The 2.9 million t of dry bulk traffic represented 85% of the total tonnage, liquid bulk with 300,000 t, 10%, and general cargo with 170,000 t, 5%. A total of 209 vessels docked at the port during the year.

 

With regards to the port's 2030 development plan, Transport Canada confirmed financial assistance of USD 33.4 million, out of a total investment of nearly USD 130 million, for the construction of Terminal 21. (cd)
