Rewe backs fulfilment growth
The Rewe group recently announced a USD 17 million investment in the Cologne-based platform provider 'Fulfillment Tools'.
The funding aims to support the firm OC fulfillment GmbH in its goal to become a global leader in distributed order management systems (Doms). Founded in 2020 out of Rewe Digital’s innovation hub, 'Fulfillment Tools' serves various retailers, including Thalia.
The software enables order routing based on customer-specific parameters, helping retailers create unique shopping experiences. Rewe's board member for digital and technology matters, Christoph Eltze, called the collaboration "a strategic partnership to shape the future of trade." (js)
