Rhine-Alpine axis to become first e-truck corridor

BP is launching six public charging locations with ultra-fast 300 kw charge points for e-trucks along a 600 km stretch of the Rhine-Alpine corridor crossing Germany.

The corridor is one of Europe’s busiest road haulage routes connecting key North Sea ports in Belgium and the Netherlands with the Mediterranean port of Genoa in Italy through a road network covering 1,300 km in total.

The new chargers have been installed on Aral retail sites. Once complete, an e-truck will be able to travel along the Aral pulse corridor refuelling at 300 kw charging stations that will be able to charge more than 20 e-trucks per charger every day. (ben)
