In exactly four months, on 18 June 2020, the up-and-coming company Air Sénégal will launch a thrice weekly A321 service to Geneva. This is Geneva’s first regular destination to West Africa since 1996, and marks a new step in the strategy of developing long-haul flights for French-speaking Switzerland.

Ten days later, on 28 June, Senegal's flag carrier whicht commenced operations in May 2018, will also add a fourth weekly flight to its Dakar – Barcelona – Marseille – Dakar route. This European triangle route, which is served by one of the its A330-900neos, only commenced operation in December.

In addition to its Europe service, Air Senegal has plans to fly to the USA. Back in September the airline announced it would be looking to commence flights to Washington DC "within the next six months". (ah)
