Robots in fashion

Fiege is planning to use robots to help serve its customer, the Isernhagen-based CBR Fashion Group, known for the brands Cecil and Street One. Fiege has been working for the shipper for 15 years and is responsible for warehousing and fulfilment as well as last mile transport.

Autonomous robots from Locus Robotics will be deployed at the logistics centre in Burgwedel in future. For this purpose, Fiege is building a new pick tower at the Burgwedel location, in which initially 100 autonomous mobile robots (AMR) will support the picking of garments and help reduce throughput times from summer 2023. Their number is to increase to almost 170 robots by 2027. Fiege's contract with CBR Fashion Group was extended recently. (sh)
