Rotterdam improves services to terminal

Q-Terminals Kramer Rotterdam and the Port of Rotterdam Authority have signed an agreement regarding a temporary connection of the Rail Terminal West II (RTW-II) site to the container exchange route (CER).

With the agreement, all terminals and depots of Q-Terminals Kramer Rotterdam will be connected to the CER in the near future, the port authority said. The 17 km closed road network currently also links the terminals of RWG, of Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam and the state inspection terminal.

The CER was commissioned at the end of November 2023. Since the end of last year, the volumes transported on the road network have been steadily increasing, with thousands of truck journeys already completed on this route. (ben)
