Royal Air Maroc Cargo marks 35 years in Brussels
Royal Air Maroc Cargo has celebrated 35 years of uninterrupted service at Brussels Airport, a key gateway in its European network linking Morocco, Africa and Europe. Since its first flight to Brussels in 1990, the airline has steadily expanded operations, now running three weekly Casablanca–Brussels services carrying over 4,300 t of cargo annually.
A reception marking the anniversary was held on 22 October at Brussels Airport, attended by executives from Royal Air Maroc Cargo, Brussels Airport Company and Globe Air Cargo GSA. Industrial machinery, automotive parts and pharmaceuticals form the bulk of exports from Brussels, with 74% of shipments bound for Africa. "Thirty-five years at Brussels Airport is a testimony to the trust built with our customers and partners," said Yassine Berrada (center), vice-president cargo. (ah)
