Russia expands rail service to Black Sea region

Fesco Transportation Group has launched a regular container service between Vladivostok and Timashevsk in the Krasnodar region near the Black Sea.

Shuttles will depart once every two weeks from the commercial port of Vladivostok (CPV) and will arrive at the Timashevskaya station of the North Caucasus Railway. It is planned to increase the frequency of dispatches to once a week in future. Transit time is 12-13 days.

The trains are expected to carry mainly food products, consumer and construction materials. The new service is focused primarily on delivering cargo from Asian countries for companies in the Krasnodar region, the Rostov region and other areas of the North Caucasus and Southern federal districts, Fesco said.
