Rwandair to serve Paris in two months' time

Rwandair is scheduled to launch new direct flights to Paris (CDG) for the first time on 27 June 2023. The new service will operate three times a week, giving customers access to one of Europe's economic powerhouses, as well as connecting France with Kigali (KGL), from where Rwandair provides quick connections to countries such as Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.

CEO Yvonne Makolo: "The launch of our first-ever flights to Paris is an exciting development in Rwandair’s continuing expansion and a testament to the importance of French-Rwandan relations."

Currently, the airline is planning to double its fleet over the next five years and move to its new home at Bugesera International Airport, 25 km south of KGL, which is being built to handle 150'000 t of cargo a year during its first phase of operation. (ah)
