Saemes and Sogaris Partner to enhance urban development
Saemes has announced the arrival of Sogaris as a new shareholder, marking a significant step in diversifying its activities. This collaboration is part of a long-term strategy aimed at transforming parking facilities into key drivers for urban revitalisation, benefitting local communities. Sogaris will acquire a 9.78% stake in Saemes, supported by the Banque des Territoires, which will facilitate targeted co-investments benefitting local territories, economic actors and residents.
The partnership aims to address the combined challenges of urban mobility for people and goods by jointly deploying urban parking solutions and last-mile logistics. This collaboration is expected to promote decarbonisation, improve public spaces and restore productive activities within cities. Carine Saloff-Coste, CEO of Saemes, highlighted that this alliance presents a unique opportunity to innovate and propose new last-mile logistics solutions within the parking facilities operated in Île-de-France. Jonathan Sebbane, CEO of Sogaris, noted that this partnership is a strategic move towards achieving decarbonisation and enhancing territorial sovereignty, whilst Richard Curnier from the Banque des Territoires underscored the initiative's potential to accelerate local logistics development in Paris.
