Samskip and DCSA team up
Samskip has joined the DCSA+ partnership programme, strengthening its role in shaping global digital logistics standards. The initiative brings together carriers, ports, forwarders and tech providers to accelerate adoption of open frameworks across the supply chain.
“By joining the DCSA+ Partner Programme, we have the opportunity to help shape future industry standards that enhance not only our own multimodal operations but also the entire logistics ecosystem,” said Ragnar Thor Ragnarsson, chief information officer at Samskip.
As a multimodal operator active in shortsea, rail, road and inland waterways, Samskip adds insight on connecting inland and ocean transport, streamlining data and reducing fragmentation. Its membership provides early access to API and messaging standards, supporting interoperability and more efficient processes. The move complements ongoing work with SMDG, advancing both Edifact and API-based digital communication. (gy)
