SAS to launch new route into Lebanon
Starting this week-end (30 June 2019) and operating until 7 September, SAS will begin to fly from Stockholm (Sweden) to Beirut (Lebanon) twice a week. The Scandinavian carrier already flies to the Lebanese capital from Copenhagen (Denmark) during the summer months.
Karl Sandlund, EVP Commercial: "For SAS, this is another way of strengthening our network." The new route is operated using A320neo and B737-800 aircraft, offering 37 respectively 44 cbm of belly capacity. The environmental impact is a key issue for the airline industry and SAS is working intensively to renew and upgrade its fleet to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. (ah)
