SAS to open route between Stockholm and Sevilla

From tomorrow, 29 February 2020, SAS will fly to Seville (SVQ), Spain, from Stockholm Arlanda (ARN), Sweden. The new direct route to the Andalusian capital will be operated with A320neo aircraft on Saturdays until 16 May, making Seville the sixth destination for SAS in Spain from Sweden along with Alicante, Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Palma de Mallorca and Malaga.

In 2019 both airports saw a sharp drop in cargo volumes: At 50,698 t (-25.2% compared to 2018) ARN remains Sweden's biggest air freight hub, while SVQ with a cargo throughput of 9,981 t (-21.3%) is still ranked No. 8 in Spain.

The December 2019 results of the Cargo iQ benchmark and standards have just been released and they show that SAS Cargo maintains the top position as the world No. 1 in delivering air freight quality. (ah)
